Title: Engineer - 58760 

Your Responsibilities

As an Engineer for the Product Engineering Center, located in Waterloo, IA, you will perform drivetrain dynamic system modeling including: torsional vibration, friction element thermal simulation, hydraulic systems modeling, NVH (gear rattle, coupler selection, etc.), and lube flow modeling. In addition, you will:

·  Evaluate shift performance through model-based system simulation
·  Use and contribute to programming-based (Matlab and Python) work processes 
·  Provide consultation to Drivetrain engineers in Waterloo for dynamic system modeling

What Skills You Need

·  2 or more years of experience with drivetrain components and systems
·  Experience using 1D dynamic simulation tools (AMESim preferred)
·  Knowledge of model-based system development
·  Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills
·  Demonstrated ability to collaborate and integrate with other functional teams 
·  Experience with managing a large project with time schedules and other critical milestones

What Makes You Stand Out

Other areas of experience or interest that will help us place you on the right team include:

·  Experience correlating simulation results with physical testing
·  Experience with AMESim
·  Experience with diesel engine transient modeling
·  Background in the agriculture or off-road industry
·  Experience with Matlab and Python
·  Experience with Simulink
·  Advanced degree in Engineering 
·  Experience with PTC Creo

Education (or equivalent work experience)

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent work experience in the following: 

·  Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering
