Title: Embedded Software Engineer - 60202 
Your Responsibilities

As an Embedded Software Engineer , for the John Deere Intelligent Solutions Group (ISG-Urbandale) , you will design and develop embedded software for high-tech precision agricultural products. In addition, you will:

·  Be a member of an Agile software development team, working closely with other team members to ensure that the software and electronic and mechanical hardware function together to meet or exceed the product specifications
·  Develop high quality embedded software for John Deere ISG products
·  Conduct analysis of software requirements and develop efficient software solutions to satisfy those requirements
·  Lead in resolution of technical issues whether within the company or with outside suppliers
·  Create and evaluate possible design solutions to improve cost, quality and performance, collaborating with other functional engineers, supply management or marketing/customer support personnel as needed

What Skills You Need

·  3 or more years of experience in embedded software product development
·  2 or more years of Object-Oriented Software Development experience
·  Experience that demonstrates you are a self-starter, and able to work well without close direction, both in the office and in the field
·  Experience interfacing successfully with engineers and personnel of other disciplines

What Makes You Stand Out

·  Experience using C++
·  Experience using Qt or similar UI frameworks
·  Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) and software test automation
·  Experience using SQL databases
·  Experience developing software in a Linux environment
·  Experience in agriculture
·  Advanced Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science

Education (or equivalent work experience)

·  Bachelor's degree in an Engineering, Science or Technology related discipline
