Main Responsibilities:

*This position will be working at the Mexico Engineering Center, assigned to a design team. The engineer will be responsible for creating the schematics, the vehicle harness layout in the integrator plane and the drawings in CHS. He/she must interact with the systems group in order to ensure the design constrains are understood and considered in the project. He/she will participate in the project design reviews and should lead the project development within the MEC. He must understand the product lifecycle and advocate for the best customer experience by offering a high quality product and train new engineers.

 

What Skills You Need:

*Experience working with CHS on Logic, Integrator Plane and Harness XC

*Knowledge of the Six Sigma and root cause analysis tools

*Strong written and verbal communication skills

*Strong English skills, speaking and writing

*Strong drive by results

*Proactive

*Good working knowledge of CAN in all layers

*Solid knowledge of PDM/Windchill

*Solid knowledge of cProjects (complete Workflow)

*Harness Design knowledge

*Skill in using John Deere information systems and processes

*Strong Schematics Design Experience

*Strong knowledge of all Capital Harness modules and PTC Creo

*Strong decision making

*Proven experience managing projects.

 

What Makes You Stand Out:

*3+ years of work experience in Electrical Harness Design.

*Technical experience relating to the design and diagnostics of electrical systems and components

*Broad understanding of John Deere products and processes

*Experience with different harness suppliers

*SimStress Knowledge, requirements and best practices.

*Good knowledge of electrical devices specifications in order to communicate with hardware and systems groups.

 

Education (or equivalent experience):

*Mechatronics Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Digital Systems and Robotics Engineer.

*Advanced Engineering Degree or equivalent experience.
