Research Intern

Job description

Job Purpose:
• The internship dovetails with our policy and framework for hiring full-time roles within the Research & Investments group and will come with a duration of 3 – 6 months
• The position is located at the firm’s headquarters in London, UK
• You will be involved in activities around Research & Investments, such as researching new ETFs, including Smart Beta ETFs, testing and developing trading signals, designing analytics around ETFs and portfolios of ETFs, and designing processes around investments to implementation to client support
• You will be actively taking part in the ongoing processes, and the role will offer you diverse, interesting and challenging tasks which you will need to often solve independently

Your Responsibilities:
• You will be on a research and investments focused team consisting of quants
• You will gain an in-depth understanding of the fastest growing segment in financial services
• As a member of the research and investments team through hands-on training and the day to day role you will experience the full cycle of investment research through to implementation

Desired profile

Skills and Qualifications:
• Strong quantitative skills along with demonstrated analytical ability
• Proficiency in written and spoken English
• Proficiency of Matlab and knowledge of Sql Server
• A desire to get on top of the fastest growing area of investments, which are ETFs
• Organization and communication skills as well as team ability
• Independent working method and flexibility
• Not essential, but helpful is the proficiency in C# or C++
