Description:

The Furniture Specialist will be responsible for helping to develop, implement, and manage the end-to-end furniture lifecycle and refresh roadmap for a 15-thousand-person campus in Beaverton, Oregon.  The successful candidate will possess analytical strength, extreme attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment. This position offers the opportunity to create policy, drive process, and influence people at all levels of the organization. Strong interpersonal skills and a can-do attitude required.

Responsibilities:

·  Help develop the furniture refresh roadmap and set priorities by evaluating severity of problem, age of furniture, construction projects, political implications, replacement cost and available funding
·  Develop, refine and maintain internal process documentation and playbook for end-to-end furniture asset management
·  Support sustaining furniture processes by:
·  Maintaining vendor partnerships and fostering relationships with strategic key stakeholders within the organization
·  Liaising with client’s design team and furniture standards committee to ensure alignment to, and possibly influence, client’s global strategy
·  Managing furniture specifications, purchasing and tracking
·  Generating and owning annual furniture budget and reporting monthly to the finance team
·  Preparing budgets and scope analyses for special projects for broader socialization and approval
·  Coordinating with furniture warehouse for receiving and delivery
·  Monitoring Min/Max inventory for changing lead times
·  Calculating write-off amounts for asset retirement
·  Project managing end-to-end warranty and repair work
·  Support people moves and construction projects by:
·  Collecting physical inventory for furniture resets
·  Supporting the space planning team as needed for furniture related issues
·  Representing the furniture team and distribution center in project team meetings
·  Help to develop, document and influence future global furniture standards
·  Become the furniture subject matter expert in the eyes of the client

Skills:

·  Ability to navigate complex, matrixed environment while still fostering critical relationships with clients and strategic partners
·  Work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking is the norm
·  Possess extremely strong interpersonal and presentation skills and be comfortable working with people at all levels of the organization
·  Have experience with cost estimating, budget development, data analysis and risk assessment (both operational and financial)
·  Accustomed to being discrete with confidential information
·  Detail-oriented and obsessed with accuracy

Technical Skills:

·  Required:
·  Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
·  Preferred:
·  AutoCAD             
·  Experience with IWMS warehouse/inventory software
·  Archibus, Planon or other CAFM system

Experience:

·  5-7 years in Commercial furniture Account Management, warehouse operations, asset management or an equivalent industry experience
·  Knowledge of commercial furniture, occupancy planning and project management
