ABOUT JEENA
​Jeena International is a Social Inclusion charity based in the UK working primarily within the ethnic minority communities. Jeena International works in particular with those members of these communities who are further disadvantaged as a result of their sex, age, disability, sexual orientation or gender re-assignment.

We safeguard communities from abuse with the help of the government, international agencies and NGOs. We provide assistance to people who have come to the UK from aboard who are particularly vulnerable. We have supported women fleeing from domestic abuse, helped repatriate victims of human trafficking, raised awareness of women's rights and rights of children. Ultimately, we want to equip both men and women, the youth and communities with the support and tools to help them build a life free from exploitation.

Jeena International have lead a number of initiatives which successfully provide a platform for key stakeholders to be informed and educated on issues of Breast Ironing, Domestic Violence (DV), Gender Inequality, Forced Marriages (FM), Honour Based Violence (HBV), Sexual Abuse, Sex Selection Abortions and Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), Child Exploitation, Radicalisation, Witchcraft (Blackmagic, juju) among the diaspora population from the Commonwealth.

JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for someone who has experience in writing funding proposals and applications. We would need you to be competent and confident in communication both via email and phone. You would need to be self-motivated In applying for funding, locally, nationally and internationally.

To scope, co-ordinate, prepare, write and submit tenders and business growth proposals to support the Business Development Strategy and Corporate Objectives for Jeena.

Provide technical and commercial writing skills

Produce costing information to help bidding decision making

Objectively review bid submissions and suggest changes/improvements.

Maintain a schedule of all bid proposals.

Maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Engage with colleagues, partners and delivery partners to secure appropriate input to the bid

Person Specification

Experience on similar role or willing to learn

Advanced MS Office skills including Word, Powerpoint and Excel.

Experience of project proposals, and budget construction

Awareness and understanding of procedures and structures from a ‘hands on’ operational perspective.

A clear and thorough communication style both verbally and in written form

Excellent organisation skills

Ability to multi-task

Strong literacy and numeracy skills, with meticulous attention to detail

This role would be remotely working from home but occasionally traveling to Slough for meetings.
