Continually pushing the boundaries of innovation and redefining the benchmark for excellence, we set the standards others want to follow. We want to keep it that way too. Which is where you join the journey

WHAT TO EXPECT

The primary purpose of JLR Event Vehicle Operations is to prepare and maintain fleets of vehicles to the highest possible standards both dynamically & aesthetically for a broad range of business requirements. Our bespoke requirements range from a single vehicle for VIP’s, through to fleets of up to 200 vehicles to support launch events or other significant marketing needs. Event Vehicle Operations is also responsible for discharging all vehicle preparations for Show/Photo/Press events.

Working as a skilled Vehicle Technician specifically within our Showbay area, you’ll conduct whole vehicle mechanical evaluation, maintenance and rectification - both statically and dynamically. You’ll diagnose any faults on the vehicles and will repair and replace minor and major units, including interior/exterior trim and undertake alignment/profiling of exterior body panels.

You will be primarily responsible for stripping and rebuilding interior trim & hardware on pre-production display vehicles. It’ll be your duty to develop and install anti squeak and rattle packages, together with wind noise or body openness solutions. You’ll also be removing and fitting bonded glass to include windscreen and panoramic roof glass.

As a Vehicle Technician within our Showbay area in Event Vehicle Operations you may be required to support with overseas product launches and motor shows too.

  WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Experienced in a hands on role, working within a workshop environment, you’ll bring strong vehicle knowledge, a high level of attention to detail and a flexible approach to Event Vehicle Operations. Alongside a time served Automotive indentured/certificated Advanced Apprenticeship or Armed Forces equivalent, you’ll be Level 3 qualified and able to work to predefined procedures.

You’ll recognise safe working practices, including Health & Safety and environmental regulations. Additionally, you’ll hold a full UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points). You’ll be confident in communicating, a good team player and will be computer literate too.

You’ll have a positive attitude towards shifts and overtime, as well as being flexible to support overseas for our launch and motor show events.

BENEFITS

Bring all this to the home of premium innovation, and you’ll find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team, a privilege purchase scheme, membership of a competitive pension plan and performance related bonus scheme. All this and more makes Jaguar Land Rover the perfect place to continue your journey.
