WHAT TO EXPECT
Here, you’ll design, develop and shape the future of our electronic systems by helping us find visionary developments in everything from hybrid vehicles and infotainment to advanced electronic systems integration and electrics.
As a Vehicle in the Loop (ViL) Engineer you’ll be the lead technical interface into vehicle platforms, representing vehicle-level testing requirements.
In this role, you’ll take an innovative approach to the creation of the vehicle interface hardware and support the promotion of ViL to other areas of Jaguar Land Rover such as Manufacturing, Quality, and Service. You’ll also need to support the development, implementation and sustainability of an appropriate ViL test procedure into the requirements management process.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED

You'll come to this position with real passion for your projects and great people skills. You'll need to be good at speaking with stakeholders and you’ll have a history of delivery within the automotive industry. As well as being versed in software and simulation development processes such as Matlab & Simulink and the associated real-time technologies such as dSPACE and National Instruments, you’ll be able to understand and manage complex issues using a structured approach and to manage their resolution in a robust manner.
Besides previous experience of working within a cross-functional team, you’ll need an ability to work with open problems, formulate solutions, and drive them through to delivery in a validated manner. Excellent time management and communication skills will also be essential for this role.
