This role is also eligible for other additional allowances to base salary.

WHAT TO EXPECT

 

Using state-of-the-art facilities, you’ll provide the power behind our vehicles working in our Powertrain Engineering team. You'll find the ideal balance between performance and sustainability, while responding to the environmental issues that shape our industry.

 

With the imperative of meeting our CO2 emissions reduction targets, Hybrid and electric driveline technologies are key focus areas within the Powertrain department, requiring versatile engineers who are comfortable working in mechanical, electrical, and systems environments to develop automatic transmissions.

 

You’ll develop the Functional Safety deliverables for a number of new transmission-related features in accordance with functional safety standard ISO2626. You’ll also develop the functional and technical safety requirements for new transmission functions.  You’ll guide the transmission control team on new feature design with respect to Functional safety and help the Electrical functional safety team develop processes that best support Product design and Powertrain Engineering.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

It is essential you’ll have knowledge of automatic transmission systems. Strong engineering expertise with a disciplined and organised approach to task prioritisation knowledge of transmission control systems is a must too. You’ll need to be self-motivated and adaptable to changing demands. Ideally you’ll be qualified to degree level in an engineering subject, or you’ll have equivalent experience.
