WHAT TO EXPECT

Using state-of-the-art facilities, you’ll provide the power behind our vehicles working in our Powertrain Engineering team. You'll find the ideal balance between performance and sustainability, while responding to the environmental issues that shape our industry.

 

The Automatic Transmissions Department is part of Powertrain Engineering and is responsible for the application of the Automatic Transmissions (ATX) system for Jaguar Land Rover. With the aim of meeting our CO2 emission reduction targets, Hybrid and Electric driveline technologies are a key focus area within the department; requiring versatile Engineers comfortable working in mechanical, electrical and systems environments to develop automatic transmissions.

 

As an SME, you'll be responsible for System Development of Automatic Transmission Control Systems using Model Based Systems Engineering Approach. You'll need to liaise with internal stakeholders to decompose and flow-down requirements arising out of system design process. You'll  also need to analyze the system failure modes and security threats and design suitable solutions to mitigate the issues.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

Qualified to degree level or with relevant experience, you’ll demonstrate experience in  Systems Engineering Development ideally within the automotive sector. Previous experience in automatic transmission controls would be advantageous but not essential. Experience in IBM tools i.e. DOORS and Rhapsody SysML would also be advantageous.
