ADVERTISED SALARY: £33,500 - £43,600

WHAT TO EXPECT

 

The Power Train Manufacturing Engineering (PTME) department are responsible for the development and introduction of new and modified processes and facilities associated with new model introductions and model year changes.

 

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Test Engineer to join our new and expanding Powertrain Manufacturing Engineering (PTME), Electrification team. The Electrification team is evolving to support future Powertrain Electrification developments for the complete range of Jaguar Land Rover vehicles.

 

You’ll be Involved in the planning, development and implementation of e-drive test processes and facilities to support the Jaguar Land Rover global Powertrain initiatives. Providing support to the virtual and physical build events and communicating current issues to relevant teams to ensure all receive maximum exposure and are dealt with effectively to assist, improve and sustain product quality.

 

You’ll work closely with Product Development Engineers, Facility Vendors and Tooling Suppliers to ensure that component and whole powertrain systems meet our world class quality and efficiency standards.

 

Due to the nature of the role you’ll be required to travel between UK and overseas sites to support Jaguar Land Rover global Test facilities for extended periods of time.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

You’ll be experienced in specifying, delivering, and launching test cell facilities and in-line test equipment, in particular Motor Dynamometer Test Equipment or Energy Storage Systems. As part of this you’ll need significant experience of facility installation, commissioning, and product launch.

Ideally, you’ll be educated to Degree level within a relevant Engineering discipline (HNC / HND also considered). You’ll be proficient with the use of PC Systems and Packages including Process Authoring Tools (GPAS). You’ll also have experience and an understanding of in-process Test equipment, Dyno facilities and an ability to analyse and interpret performance data output from those facilities.

You’ll be a strong communicator, both written & verbally, with the confidence to present to stakeholders at all levels and the ability to work in a small team of Engineers to achieve objectives & project milestones.

 

Finally you’ll be flexible with travelling to UK and overseas sites to support Jaguar Land Rover Global Test Facilities.
