LOCATION: Coventry, West Midlands

WHAT TO EXPECT

Using state-of-the-art facilities, you’ll provide the power behind our vehicles working in our Powertrain Engineering team. You'll find the ideal balance between performance and sustainability while responding to the environmental issues that shape our industry.

The Project Engineer is a key member of the DV team and is responsible for mechanical development, performance and functional verification, and durability sign-off as part of base engine design verification plan (DVP). In this role, you’ll report to the Principal Engineer for validation and have specific responsibilities for subsystem development.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

As the successful candidate, you’ll come to this role with a strong technical background along with proven knowledge of engine engineering, engine components and systems. You’ll also have an in-depth understanding of design principles and the application of quality tools within an engine engineering environment, which you’ll complement with a working knowledge of problem-solving and quality tools.

It is essential that you’ll be a results-driven individual who demonstrates tenacity, drive and perseverance along with the ability to deliver in highly demanding environments. You should therefore be able to prioritise your workload and lead issue resolutions, whether individually or as part of a cross-functional team, and be comfortable challenging existing thinking in a positive way whilst building credibility and trust through experience and personal style. Rounding out your varied skill set with strong influencing and engagement capabilities will see a successful application for this role.
