The department provides a direct service to the OPs teams to prevent or minimise the impact of supplier quality issues on the manufacturing process and vehicles. The department also provides the link to the supply base, driving robust and timely issue containment whilst leading and supporting robust problem resolution. Stepping into the role of Supplier Quality Engineer, you'll willingly take a great opportunity to “deep dive” into quality concerns and to improve supplier performance. In addition, you'll be responsible for a specific vehicle commodity and the suppliers within that group, and you'll lead and assist with implementation of robust containments. Ultimately, you’ll be aiming to deliver and drive suppliers towards fully validated problem resolution.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

In your role as Supplier Quality Engineer, you'll be able to draw from your knowledge and experience gained within vehicle manufacturing. As well as the ability to understand complex issues, you’ll demonstrate working knowledge of problem-solving methodologies, and you'll use your excellent communication skills to inform valuable information to the wider team and business.

Besides combining meticulous planning with excellent organisation capabilities, you’ll have the enthusiasm and drive to achieve goals for the team and for yourself. You should also be happy to question the norm and introduce change as well as holding a full driving licence in order to travel to various sites.
