An ever-evolving heritage. A truly exciting future. Two of the world’s most iconic brands. Jaguar Land Rover is revered across the globe. Continually pushing the boundaries of innovation and redefining the benchmark for excellence, we set the standards others want to follow. We want to keep it that way too. Which is where you join the journey.
WHAT TO EXPECT
As a Strategy and Pre-development Engineer, you’ll work cross-functionally within the Chassis Forward Model Architecture (FMA) team. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that all engineering content flowing into the delivery teams are strategically, technically and financially balanced.
You’ll focus on strategic activities which lay the foundation for robust engineering offerings at the start of each vehicle programme phase and coordinate Chassis pre-development projects, commodity strategy papers, benchmarking projects and strategic complexity activities to ensure they are aligned with each other and that they deliver customer focused technologies and features.
You’ll work with the Product Engineering and Research teams to ensure all projects are progressed to agreed timings and are completed within budget. You’ll ensure that commodity strategies are aligned within Chassis and the wider business and you’ll coordinate strategic complexity activities alongside the Complexity Management team to optimise component complexity and minimise low take rate parts.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
With experience from an engineering background, you’ll have an understanding of vehicle architecture and ideally specific knowledge of chassis components.
You’ll have previous experience in managing projects and delivering results through cross functional stakeholders, leading the resolution of design, business or process issues and have the ability to manage projects in the alignment and control of costs and technical assumptions. You’ll have the experience and drive to develop and improve team processes and ensure consistent implementation.
You’ll be highly motivated, with a positive approach and attitude to adapt to fast moving, changing requirements and priorities and you’ll be strong and confident communicator with the ability to communicate and present to different stakeholders across the business.
You’ll ideally hold a degree in a relevant field and have a strong business acumen.
BENEFITS
Bring all this to the home of premium innovation, and you’ll find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team, a discounted car purchase and lease scheme for you and your family, membership of a competitive pension plan, and performance related bonus scheme. All this and more makes Jaguar Land Rover the perfect place to continue your journey.
