This Non Production Purchasing team procures capital equipment for the Paint, Trim & Final facilities.  As the Strategic Buyer for Paint, you’ll be purchasing tangible assets located in our manufacturing facilities. You’ll work closely with the UK Regional Delivery Buyer (and other Regional Delivery Buyers e.g. Slovakia) who will be responsible for the contract management and the supplier relationship management for this category, as well as the sourcing of lower value regional projects.

 

The procurement activity is closely linked to the vehicle cycle plan and therefore is integral to our core business of vehicle manufacturing. As the Strategic Buyer you’ll be responsible for internal stakeholder alignment on strategy and sourcing, including key focus on regional inputs and regional deployment for their sub categories. 

 

You’ll support the delivery team in supplier relationships through the Contract Management and Supplier Performance Management process and lead continuous improvements in purchasing activities by supporting Centre of Excellence initiatives / activities.

You’ll be an individual, who works independently, is results driven, and able to demonstrate tenacity, drive  and perseverance. Able to deliver operational plans in a complex, highly demanding environment, you’ll have the capability to combine a short term, pragmatic focus with medium term planning. Resilient and enthusiastic,  you’ll respond constructively to new ideas and inputs.

 

You’ll naturally be a good communicator with the ability to communicate complex ideas to stakeholders. This role will entail some international travel.
