WHAT TO EXPECT

The Tooling and Pressed Parts Group (T&PPG) is responsible for the delivery of tooling programs, facilities and technologies for all Jaguar Land Rover vehicles. This includes managing the development, manufacture and successful launch of tooling and equipment into nominated press facilities as well as providing the foundation for Jaguar Land Rover’s drive towards world-class body-in-white quality and cost performance. The vehicle programmes team is responsible for the project management of the Tooling and Pressed Parts Group obligations for a new vehicle via a matrix relationship with the engineering team.

The Programmes Project Engineer is mainly responsible for programme transactions within the programme team. In this role, you’ll be in charge of meeting all defined targets and attributes (technical and commercial) to cost, quality and time. You’ll also be accountable for the execution of module-related deliverables on programmes and reporting on status at relevant gateways. With this role, you’ll provide key support to the Programme Manager assigned to a new vehicle or project. On behalf of the centre of competence, you’ll coordinate specific activities to ensure reliable delivery of the Module targets, and you’ll be expected to lead project delivery across module function and ensure transparent communication and escalation throughout.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

You’ll need to have previous experience within an Engineering or Programme planning department in addition to excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven experience of stakeholder management. We expect you to be able to demonstrate a strong working knowledge of change control, production definition and change management processes. You’ll ideally hold a degree in a relevant field or will have relevant experience in leading the resolution of business, technical and process issues within a project team environment. Having a passion for the automotive industry and strong project management skills will be highly advantageous. It will also be a must for you to be capable of and feel comfortable challenging and influencing existing thinking in a positive way.

You’ll ideally be a dynamic and determined individual: highly driven, committed and results orientated with significant pace and energy. You’ll need to be able to deliver consistency in a complex, highly demanding environment whilst responding constructively to challenge and new ideas.

BENEFITS

Bring all this to the home of premium innovation, and you’ll find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team, a discounted car purchase and lease scheme for you and your family, membership of a competitive pension plan and performance related bonus scheme. All this and more makes Jaguar Land Rover the perfect place to continue your journey.
