As the STA Engineer, you’ll be part of the Supplier Technical Assistance (STA) function, supporting the vision of driving manufacturing excellence into the supply base of the given components which will require a mixture of operational, tactical, and strategic purchasing activities.
A key part of your role will be to oversee the due diligence of the Suppliers manufacturing and logistical supply chain proposal through to the creation of a Concept Value Stream Map and the Supplier product delivery plan, which will align to the achievement of Jaguar Land Rover critical project timing and targets.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Alongside extensive knowledge and practical deployment of lean tools, you’ll also have demonstrable experience in process/value stream mapping. You’ll have experience within a manufacturing or engineering background, ideally at engineer or management level. With extensive analytical skills, you’ll have the ability to break down complex, multi-dimensional problems or processes and drive improvement ideas from concept to reality.
A strong communicator, you’ll have excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills and the ability to influence. Finally, you’ll have a proven leadership track record within a manufacturing or technical environment with the ability to manage and execute complex projects on time and within budget
