Continually pushing the boundaries of innovation and redefining the benchmark for excellence, we set the standards others want to follow. We want to keep it that way too. LOCATION: Gaydon, Warwickshire

WHAT TO EXPECT

Here, you’ll design, develop and shape the future of our electronic systems by helping us find visionary developments in everything from hybrid vehicles and infotainment to advanced electronic systems integration and electrics.

Sophisticated and technically complex, the electrical distribution systems in our vehicles are designed to the highest specifications, and when you join us, you’ll lead the team responsible for maintaining and delivering systems for a number of different models.

Working from programme start to implementation, your focus will be on understanding EDS technical requirements for delivery of vehicle EDS. You’ll identify key EDS standards, design requirements and maintain the DPs tracker and set for EDS. In addition, you’ll support the delivery of the EDS commodity including cost, weight, quality and functional performance and engineering sign-off.

Providing technical leadership, you’ll ensure our high-quality project deliverables are met on time, and you’ll also develop good working relationships with your key interfaces. Other responsibilities in your role will include the ongoing development of your team, ensuring best-in-class quality processes and leading specific cross-functional problem-solving activities.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

This is a role where your ability to influence and manage people will be key to success, and your project management, process improvement and strategy development skills will make you an inspirational colleague. You’ll have the talent to negotiate with other functions to achieve your goals, and possess excellent knowledge of EDS supplier management.

As well as demonstrating a good level of project management experience including projects planning, requirement gathering and working alongside suppliers of complex commodities, you should be capable of managing and leveraging maximum support from a supply base to achieve programme objectives. You’ll be expected to be computer literate in Excel, Word and PowerPoint as well as easily adaptable to company-specific systems.

You’ll have a record of technical problem solving and ideally a working knowledge of Change Control, Product Definition and Change Management processes in order to support the review of feasible product actions, and so ensure robust implementation and compatibility with downstream systems through to production.

BENEFITS

Bring all this to the home of premium innovation, and you’ll find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team, a discounted car purchase and lease scheme for you and your family, membership of a competitive pension plan and a performance-related bonus scheme. All this and more makes Jaguar Land Rover the perfect place to continue your journey.

Jaguar Land Rover is committed to equal opportunity for all.
