WHAT TO EXPECT

 

Product Development Engineering is the key technical department for the product creation process, leading the engineering from concept to customer. There are three parts to it: Attribute Quality and Process, Vehicle Integrity Team and Vehicle Engineering Management. Working here, you’ll give our vehicles their unique characteristics. It's all part of creating vehicles that delight customers and set us apart from the competition.

 

As the Software Engineer you’ll establish and maintain an automated path to production from code committing to vehicle. You’ll develop and debug build, deploy, and test related issues, and will develop automated software tools and utilities to improve the developer ramp up process.

 

You’ll create and maintain software which allows developers to focus more on developing rather than infrastructure activities, and support a rapid release strategy across all dependencies. Finally, you’ll support colleagues in conflict and issue resolution within the Centre of Competence and across functions.

 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

 

You’ll be experienced with GIT / CI Pipelines and Workflows / Bash, and you’ll also have experience working with Open Source Communities, as well as working within team and with outside suppliers.

 

Ideally you’ll have professional AGILE experience, alongside experience in developing and integrating large scale software systems. You’ll be proficient in a number of software version control systems and related tools with the ability to write scripts in Python or Perl to automate SW build activities.

Finally, you’ll be experienced delivering technical products through a team, utilising your strong people management skills.
