As our Regional Delivery Buyer, you’ll be the person that takes charge of all the post-sourcing/contracting activities that are required for your designated commodities and suppliers. This will involve developing and implementing purchasing strategies that meet our exacting quality, delivery, cost and responsiveness targets.

 

By managing effective operational relationships with each of your suppliers, you’ll ensure commodity strategies are adopted and adhered to. This will mean that new product introductions meet the required cost targets and that any commercial or production issues can be mitigated. Using our Enterprise Resource Planning principles and systems, you’ll maximise internal transactional efficiency, minimise total costs, and drive system compliance throughout the supply chain. You’ll also participate in Sourcing Board meetings, ensuring that design decisions are based on an accurate analysis of supply chain and product cost drivers.

 

It’s a pivotal role within our purchasing team, which will see you work cross-functionally with a range of other key functions. And, because of the work you do, our manufacturing plants will be able to achieve their jobs per hour, sequencing, warehousing, inventory and delivery objectives.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

With previous leadership experience in a purchasing, logistics or supply chain management role, you’ll have experience of delivering complex supply chain solutions in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment. Your proven procurement expertise will have ideally been gained within the automotive, engineering, or a related sector, and it will have given you an expert grasp of supplier relationship management and the total cost of acquisition impact.

 

Having had exposure to a diverse range of challenges, cultures and ways of working in your previous roles, you’ll have a track record of delivering results in favourable – and unfavourable – conditions. An expert negotiator with a global outlook, you’ll know how to build effective teams, deal with ambiguity, and deploy extensive personal and professional networks.  You’ll now be looking for an opportunity to progress your career even further, by joining one of the top purchasing teams in the country.
