ADVERTISED SALARY: £36,300 - 47,100

This role is also eligible for other additional allowances to base salary.

WHAT TO EXPECT

 

Product Development Engineering is the key technical department for the product creation process, leading the engineering from concept to customer. There are three parts to it: Attribute Quality and Process, Vehicle Integrity Team and Vehicle Engineering Management. Working here, you’ll give our vehicles their unique characteristics. It's all part of creating vehicles that delight customers and set us apart from the competition.

 

As Quality Interface Engineer, you’ll embed learnings and best practice from current and historical quality documents into the In-Vehicle Infotainment and Telematics system.

 

Working alongside the Plugin In-Vehicle Infotainment Team, you’ll work to prevent quicker service fixes, early problem quality reports, things gone wrong, and JD power issues. You’ll also work on the top prioritised warranty items - coordinating the fixing of quality issues to improve the customer experience and identifying ways to reduce the warranty spend.

 

This role will see you take the lead with Infotainment-related commodities. This will mean identifying issues using the quality toolset, identifying the root cause and then looking to eliminate the issue. It’s also expected that a replicate activity will be undertaken to ensure that this issue is eliminated from all Jaguar Land Rover products, so that the issue can never re-occur.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

A keen team player, you’ll have the ability to communicate complex issues with others in your team. You’ll also know how to manipulate data in Excel and actively use pivot charts.

 

You’ll be able to conduct searches in the Analytical Warranty System, and ideally you’ll know how to create and update the Automated Issues Management System, too.

 

As you’ll be supporting activity at all Jaguar Land Rover facilities, you’ll need to have a full driving licence.
