In your role as Powertrain Quality Engineer you’ll act as the 'Quality Conscience' to the commodity area and help ensure that all decisions support improved customer satisfaction and reliability. You’ll work with the Commodity, Programme, and Engineering Systems Integration team to ensure all relevant areas of engineering develop designs that work as required at a system level, to continue to provide the highest quality standard for our customers 
You’ll also support and guide the Commodity team on the application of engineering systems analysis tools to enable this. In addition you’ll take responsibility for ensuring the creation and update of robust foundation Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA), and related documentation, as well as supporting the Commodity Leader, in agreeing a foundation DFMEA strategy and structure that can drive our successful programme delivery.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
You’ll need a strong knowledge of FMEA and APQP as well as a strong understanding of engine, transmission, and electrification systems. Your excellent understanding of quality tools will focus on systems engineering and related engineering analysis methodology and tools and ou’ll utilise this to present complex issues in a brief and straightforward manner to the wider business. 
In addition you’ll be highly driven with a proactive personality and strong interpersonal skills, and you’ll have experience of leading and influencing multi-disciplinary teams.
