The Jaguar Land Rover PLM programme team’s core focus is to move JLR Engineering Operations out of their current toolsets into a PLM suite; to open opportunities for more efficient delivery of our vehicle programmes, to deliver great products faster, to our customers.

High End Visualisation is the next generation of technology for designing, engineering, manufacturing, marketing and selling our exciting products in the 21st century. Delivering high end visuals of our products straight to customers worldwide in such a way that they can create and see their desired vehicle, change colours trims; and even the surrounding scenery.

As PLM Application Engineer Support you’ll work within the PLM programmes core team alongside other technical domains to deliver projects to enhance JLR’s technical capability within Dassault Systems, Catia V6, ICEM experience plus other Vendor’s product creation software.

A major part of your role will be to work with the business process owners and expert users across JLR to improve the adoption of High End Visualisation tools, methodologies and processes. You’ll support testing of new software releases and updates; to ensure the solutions continue to meet and exceed the business requirements; and learn to identify opportunities for improving utilisation/adoption of High End Visualisation experiences by working with business customers, software vendors and technology suppliers.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

As a PLM Support Engineer you’ll have a general understanding of 3D High End Visualisation requirements and a good level of experience in using major software vendors CAD or Visualisation Tools.

You’ll be a confident communicator and exhibit the ability to present data and issues to a varied audience supporting Problem Resolution using structured approaches whilst managing risk and issues that may arise.

A relevant degree or equivalent experience is preferred; you must be resilient, open and ready to learn new skills and consume complex problems leading to ownership, as you develop your skillset over time. You’ll also be confident in working independently or as part of a team demonstrating tenacity, drive and perseverance and comfortable working in a highly demanding environment.

 

You’ll have obtained some experience managing projects and dealing with senior stakeholders, demonstrating analytical skills to identify how one issue can impact on another and put in place the required interventions.

You’ll also display a good understanding of Google Tools and Microsoft Excel skills, strong organisational, and able to work under pressure and successfully plan and prioritise your workload.
