Every minute of every day, thousands of parts and materials from all over the world are shipped and delivered to our plants, ready to be utilised on our production lines within hours. At the same time, hundreds of customers from across the globe are handed the keys to their newly transported vehicles. A feat like this doesn’t just happen. Behind this momentous undertaking are our Material Planning & Logistics (MP&L) team, coordinating on a massive scale to ensure our vehicles continue to roll smoothly off the production lines and into the hands of the customers awaiting them.

International packaging is an integral part of the International Freight and Packaging team, which provides safe robust packaging processes for the supply chain to ensure that production volumes can be achieved for all non-UK vehicle manufacturing sites.

As Packaging Supervisor, you’ll be developing packaging concepts, prototypes and implementing final packaging solutions playing a vital role in helping the International Freight and Packaging department achieve budgetary and operational objectives, to support plans for increased volume, product range and globalisation.

In addition you’ll develop packaging assumptions, drive saving initiatives and ensure all packaging actions are delivered to support the specific programme. 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

You'll have experience of developing packaging solutions for a range of automotive components, with demonstrable knowledge of automotive supply chains and able to work closely with multiple key suppliers and stakeholders to co-ordinate buy off.

Along with these skills you'll be able to work independently, manage priorities and take the initiative to engage with customer plants, programme management teams and service providers to assure the timely launch of new programmes for the team.

If you’ve experience of packaging, along with a process driven, enthusiastic and flexible mind-set and an engineering degree that would be even better.
