Every minute of every day, thousands of parts and materials from all over the world are shipped and delivered to our plants, ready to be utilised on our production lines within hours. Behind this momentous undertaking are our Material Planning & Logistics (MP&L) team, coordinating on a massive scale to ensure our vehicles continue to roll smoothly off the production lines and into the hands of the customers awaiting them.

 

As a Packaging Development Analyst you’ll support the planning, development and implementation of all pallet developments for new models across all sites, liaising with pallet manufacturers to ensure robust deliveries. Co-ordinating the concept buy-off for new containers and liaising with the related business areas as appropriate. Supporting the input of data into Jaguar Land Rover packaging databases, producing metrics as required and maintaining own suppliers information.

 

You’ll be responsible for supporting management activities through development and monitoring plans, driving the packaging strategy forward whilst assisting in the development of packaging suppliers to bring them in line with Jaguar Land Rover standards. Assist in developing standard documents/procedures within the department and supporting the Packaging Capital Budget for New Models.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

Applications are welcomed from individuals with experience of overseas shipping methodologies. You’ll have a firm understanding of supply chain for packaging, demonstrating knowledge of department’s customers. You’ll be able to work both independently and as part of a team, coupled with a desire to make a difference and tenacity to achieve results.

 

As a Packaging Development Analyst you’ll have a customer focused approach, good organisational skills and have the ability to multi-task; manage changing priorities whilst maintaining focus. You’ll be computer literate and proficient in all relevant business systems, including knowledge of MS Office and CMMS. Have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels both internally and externally and have a full valid UK Driving Licence with a willingness to travel between sites regularly.
