In your new role as a New Technologies Regulations Engineer, you'll be part of the New Technologies Product Regulation team responsible for monitoring new technology product regulation compliance. You will be instrumental in developing enhanced knowledge and people capability, systems, and processes, as new technology regulatory requirements continue to develop rapidly in the fields of electric vehicles, connectivity, autonomous vehicles, and mobility. You'll provide a comprehensive service to all functions in our business for the interpretation and / or clarification of all global automotive regulatory requirements, and corporate / government voluntary agreements.

 

You'll be responsible with monitoring developments in product-related legislation, while ensuring appropriate stakeholders are aware of new or modified global regulations by the internal distribution of Vehicle Regulation Documents. You'll also prepare and conduct monthly reviews of Vehicle Regulation Documents with the certification and Homologation Group, Product Planning, and those responsible for updating Engineering Regulatory Standards. Finally, you'll support our management representation on global technical lobbying bodies

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

As a New Technologies Regulations Engineer you'll have significant knowledge of technical regulations development and deployment in government. You'll also have experience of working in the regulations area for any technical sector. You'll have the ability to read and understand legislative and other technical information and communicate it reliably both internally and externally. Finally, you'll have good verbal and written communication skills to enable communication across all levels of the business.
