WHAT TO EXPECT

As part of the Navigation team, you will become a vital part of an exciting phase of Jaguar Land Rover's future, developing & delivering Autonomous, Connected and Electrified vehicles and Shared mobility solutions worldwide.

 

Here, you’ll design, develop and shape the future of our electronic systems by helping us find visionary developments in everything. From hybrid vehicles and infotainment to advanced electronic systems integration and electrics, we make our visions reality.

Working in the Electrical, Electronic and Software Engineering (EESE) department, you'll report directly to the Navigation Systems Manager within the Infotainment Design group.

As part of a team, you'll be responsible for the technical development, project management and delivery of navigation system software applications, as well as mapping and connected navigation services across all current and future Jaguar Land Rover vehicles.

The key duties in this role include the development of technical design specifications, validation and engineering sign-off for all development phases and applicable vehicle programmes.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

This is a truly unique position in which you can join one of the most experienced teams in the automotive industry. You’ll require a proven track record of development and delivery of distributed automotive software solutions, Although someone with software systems engineering plus navigation knowledge would be acceptable combined with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. As a key member of this team, you’ll need to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, self-confidence and the ability to operate with minimum supervision to ensure success. The role will require inter-site and potentially international travel for short periods, therefore it is expected that you’ll hold a valid UK driving licence and have the ability to be able to travel for business trips as required.
