WHAT TO EXPECT

 

Our team is part of the Material Planning & Logistics (MP&L) department, and is specifically dedicated to the launch of new programmes and projects. Working with us, you’ll use your leadership skills and proactivity to lead successful implementation of logistics processes, from validation of material flows to guaranteeing the delivery of parts on right time/quantity to the assembly line.  You’ll be immerse in the dynamic and demanding automotive industry environment with fast paced challenges and big impact for each of your actions. The engines we build will power future Jaguar and Land Rover models and make an impression around the world.

Taking your place as a Material Flow Engineer, your daily activities will include: leading Material Flow Analysts, in a team that will make sure parts are handled in the best packaging to both optimise internal transport and ease operation’s use; representing MP&L and interacting with other departments to develop solutions (Quality, Operations, Packaging, etc); Leading meetings with logistics service providers to guarantee a clear understanding and execution of daily activities. You will also be supporting management in strategic decisions by collating reports and analysing data using MS Excel; project managing MP&L deliverables in the launch of new programs.

 

WHAT YOU’L NEED

 

To be the Material Flow Engineer we expect, it is essential to be a good team member as you will be accountable for enabling processes for various areas of the Jaguar Land Rover team, as well as depending on them to deliver your results. Because of that, having good communication skills is very important.

 

Being proactive and results oriented will enable you to get the most of the challenges, with a great potential for development, as the complexity of the tasks will be proportional to the quality of your deliveries.

 

You will need to perform well under pressure whilst managing changing priorities, taking ownership for tasks and executing them with energy and the sense of urgency required in the automotive industry. You will need to guarantee your team performs well under those circumstances as well.

 

Advanced analytical and MS Excel skills must give you the ability to confidently engage with key stakeholders and suggest decisions based on facts and figures. In addition, you’ll need to demonstrate problem solving abilities, along with strong working knowledge of process mapping and process design.

 

An engineering degree and leadership experience is required for this position.

 

Although not a requirement, you will have strong advantage if you have: experience in Industrial Logistics, Warehouse Operations or a similar relevant industry; and AutoCAD knowledge.
