WHAT TO EXPECT

Our Engineering and Manufacturing teams are driving this incredible experience; being the ideas and expertise behind their creation is even more exhilarating. As a Paint Engineer you’ll have the opportunity to work with state of the art machinery and be responsible for the body painting process for all Land Rover model lines. Our goal is to manufacture vehicles to the highest quality standards, within tight timeframes, to ensure our customers receive a premium service and product. We are investing heavily in new Facilities, and as a Paint engineer your challenge will be to improve quality in line with production forecasts and new model introductions.

You’ll play an instrumental part in driving new initiatives and help devise the Paint quality strategy, your performance will be measured against a number of key metrics and your ability to deliver demonstrable savings in Paint consumable. You’ll take a proactive approach to driving continuous improvement and within your process team and be expected to support the introduction of new equipment. Your experience within Paint operations will establish best practice processes to achieve Premium Quality whilst controlling cost and working within delivery targets. You’ll interface with other areas of the business, representing Paint Operations and be expected to prepare and deliver presentations at all levels of the business. Your experience will challenge status quo and pave the way for new ideas.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Increasing production targets coupled with new model introductions will keep you on your toes, so you’ll need to be able to balance a demanding work load whilst being able to drive cost and quality improvements across the function. The area operates around a shifted pattern so you’ll need to be flexible with your working hours and have a proven ability to problem solve and implement robust solutions leading to detailed action plans, objectives and whilst monitoring progress. A good understanding of Paint processes within a production environment and is crucial. You’ll need to be able to demonstrate detailed knowledge of at least one area of the process, such as Robotic Spray and ideally hold a Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline. You’ll have an established track record in achieving targets, despite obstacles and setbacks and be a confident communicator, both written and verbal.
