Which is where you join the journey.

Lead Electrical Engineer

WHAT TO EXPECT

When it comes to the future, our Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) team is planning it today. Regularly working up to three years ahead of production, they help translate, plan and implement Product Development outputs into vehicle manufacture, transforming our ambitious plans into tangible and exhilarating realities. From the luxuriously agile Jaguar F-TYPE to the innovative CX-17, our vehicles – famed for the revolutionary technologies they employ – are amongst some of the most desired and revered in the world today. Your constant challenge, working as part of our diverse and multi-skilled AME team, will be to ensure our iconic brands continue to captivate the world tomorrow.

As the Lead Electrical Engineer within AME, you’ll provide electrical expertise to prepare designs and specifications, and deliver a range of projects including the refurbishment of existing electrical installations and works relating to large scale new build construction. You’ll also monitor compliance of designs and contractors’ works, supporting the drive towards continuous improvements at Castle Bromwich.

Your preparation of feasibility studies for proposed electrical installations will relate to both new build and refurbishment projects within a manufacturing environment. Using NBS Create, you’ll prepare project management and specification documents for new construction and refurbishment projects, as part of the tender documentation.

In addition you’ll be responsible for carrying out detailed surveys of electrical services and equipment to establish the extent of the existing installation; gaining enough information to complete design and report findings to others as required. You can also expect to prepare budget cost information for proposed electrical schemes in an industry recognised standard, such as New Rules of Measurement (NRM).

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

You’ll have the ability to prepare technical drawings and schematics using CAD. Also essential are having the knowledge and experience of specification writing, technical standards and key electrical compliance processes and testing. In addition you’ll have excellent problem solving skills to diagnose defects, ideally bring practical experience with Building Information Modelling, as well as competence using Autodesk Revit.

Benefits

Bring all this to the home of premium innovation, and you’ll find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team, a discounted car purchase and lease scheme for you and your family, membership of a competitive pension plan, and performance related bonus scheme. All this and more makes Jaguar Land Rover the perfect place to continue your journey.
Jaguar Land Rover is committed to equal opportunity for all.
