An ever-evolving heritage. A truly exciting future. Two of the world’s most iconic brands. Jaguar Land Rover is revered across the globe. Continually pushing the boundaries of innovation and redefining the benchmark for excellence, we set the standards others want to follow. We want to keep it that way too. Which is where you join the journey.

Location:  Halewood

WHAT TO EXPECT

When it comes to the future, our Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) team is planning it today. Regularly working up to three years ahead of production, they help translate, plan and implement Product Development outputs into vehicle manufacture, transforming our ambitious plans into tangible and exhilarating realities.
From the luxuriously agile Jaguar F-TYPE to the innovative CX-17, our vehicles – famed for the revolutionary technologies they employ – are amongst some of the most desired and revered in the world today. Your constant challenge, working as part of our diverse and multi-skilled AME team, will be to ensure our iconic brands continue to captivate the world tomorrow.

The Joining team supports the planning and deployment of manufacturing processes and facilities for Body Assemblies. The team ensures that our premium vehicles are both feasible and efficient for manufacture. We are now going through a new transformation in assembly methods, material selection, and joining technologies to meet the needs of tomorrow’s customers. For that reason, we need new talent to expand our team and support future projects.

As a Joining Engineer you’ll be providing advice and direction on feasibility for joining technologies, ensuring we deliver a capable process into a production facility. You'll drive the team with suitable solutions for equipment as well as joining performance.  Helping us to constantly evaluate joining methods to meet the demands of new production facilities and reviewing product developments, advancing our production capabilities.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Educated to degree or equivalent level within a joining or material discipline, you’ll be able to transfer your knowledge of the Engineering industry and best practices into an automotive environment. You’ll have a background in joining technologies, preferably working at a technical level with any of the following technologies: TIG, MIG, LASER, Self-Piercing Riveting, Resistance Spot Welding, Friction Stir Welding applications, Adhesive and Flow drive screw applications.

You’ll be self-motivated but also a good team player, with the ability to take the lead and achieve results by meeting deliverables and commitments. A confident communicator, you’ll be a pro-active problem solver with excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills.  You’ll be required to have the flexibility to travel multi-site whilst maintaining a Halewood 'base' location and therefore a full driving license is essential for this role.

Jaguar Land Rover considers that this role does not meet the criteria to be considered within the Home Office Shortage Occupation list.  Therefore, Jaguar Land Rover will not support an application for visa sponsorship and all applicants for this role must have an unrestricted right to work for an indefinite period in the UK.

BENEFITS

Bring all this to the home of premium innovation, and you will find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team. Our employees have access to a privilege car purchase scheme, membership of a competitive pension plan, performance related bonus scheme and 26 days holiday entitlement. All this and more makes Jaguar Land Rover the perfect place to continue your journey.
Jaguar Land Rover is committed to equal opportunity for all.
