SALARY: £30,000-£40,000

 

LOCATION: Gaydon, Warwickshire

 

The successful candidate for the above role will retain their current employer, i.e. if you are a Jaguar employee you will continue to be administered on the Jaguar grading structure with the associated terms and conditions. If you are a Land Rover employee you will continue to be administered on the Land Rover grading structure with the associated terms and conditions.

 

WHAT TO EXPECT

 

Using state-of-the-art facilities, you’ll provide the power behind our vehicles working in our Powertrain Engineering team. You'll find the ideal balance between performance and sustainability, while responding to the environmental issues that shape our industry.

 

As an High Voltage (HV) Power Systems Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the design of Power Systems that meet our quality and performance requirements.. This will involve collaboration with other areas to optimise designs, and assessing decisions made by commodity groups and their impact on the system. You’ll also plan the overall system delivery, working with the system owners to support build and fleet updates. You’ll do all of this, while ensuring requirements on other systems/modules are clearly cascaded and that timing plans are in place to support the system development and delivery.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

An experienced engineer, you’ll have broad understanding of HV batteries, power electronics and eMachines. You’ll also have good understanding on how HV battery power is converted into mechanical energy at the wheels. In addition you’ll have experience with Failure Mode Analysis and Avoidance by design.

As HV Power Systems Engineer, you’ll have project management capabilities with excellent execution skills and the ability to multitask.
