WHAT TO EXPECT

Every minute of every day, thousands of parts and materials from all over the world are shipped and delivered to our plants, ready to be utilised on our production lines within hours. Behind this momentous undertaking are our Material Planning & Logistics (MP&L) team, coordinating on a massive scale to ensure our vehicles continue to roll smoothly off the production lines and into the hands of the customers awaiting them.

As the Engineering Change Control (ECC) Supervisor, you’ll be a key figure within the Data Integrity department, managing a team of analysts, developing and delivering ECC processes and promoting continuous improvements, along with representing ECC at all levels.

You’ll work with the Engineering teams who are responsible for creating the Engineering changes, taking overall responsibility to communicate change with the introduction of part number changes on current vehicle and new model year in the Solihull plant; and in addition to this, you’ll manage part number changes and associated timings and will support new model introduction and running change. 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

You’re preferably degree educated with experience ideally gained in the automotive or manufacturing industry, as well as computer literate and proficient in all relevant business systems (including CMMS3 and WERS).

You’ll bring your experience of change control processes, ideally gained in a logistics or supply chain management background; and have been exposed to operational management, process development and forecasting and planning and you’ll be employing your initiative, analytical skills and leadership abilities to keep our ECC operation operating at a world-class level.

You’ll have a proven track record of successfully setting and achieving targets, leading teams and effectively managing stakeholder’s expectations. You’re a strong relationship-builder and communicator, with the ability to inspire and influence at all levels, with a customer focused approach. Being highly self-motivated and assertive, you’ll demonstrate confident negotiation skills with the ability to perform well under pressure whilst managing changing priorities.

Finally, you need to be flexible with travel and have a full driving licence.
