Our Global Production Purchasing team has recently launched its new Service Delivery Model, creating buying roles that focus on strategy and sourcing execution as well as delivery focused roles that lead the industrialisation, launch and ongoing performance excellence of our supply chains.

Production Purchasing’s new organisational structure presents an opportunity for its Regional Purchasing teams to collaborate with their Supplier Technical Assistance counterparts through the industrialisation and launch phases of programme development. An exciting space of the business, you’ll be part of the inception and help grow and develop the department.

As a Commercial Validation Process Lead, you’ll play a key role in the team responsible for delivering this transformational change to our Purchasing organisation.

Working closely with Buyers, STA and Cost Engineering, you’ll identify and write the validation activities required to corroborate the key costs elements of our contracts which will be developed in to a training package for all the Regional Delivery teams. You’ll also support the training and roll out of the Commercial-PPAP process, by leading the activities on major commodities across the globe.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

You’ll join us with strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships from shop floor to management level, identifying and clearly communicating key information and tailoring the communication for your audience.

You’ll have an understanding of key automotive tools and techniques to include APQP, PPAP, 8D, Practical Problem Solving, Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma. Naturally you’ll be a determined individual, highly driven, committed and results-orientated who works with pace, energy and confidence.

You’re also able to apply analytical rigour to develop and drive well thought out operational plans, collaborate across functions and combine a short term, pragmatic focus with strategic vision. You'll also have strong commercial acumen with an understanding of the key cost drivers that make up a supplier’s piece price, tooling and ED&T quotes.
