SALARY: £37,900 - £49,300

This role is also eligible for other additional allowances to base salary.

WHAT TO EXPECT

 

Suspension. Engine mounts. Wheels and tyres. To provide an exceptional driving experience, every chassis component needs be honed to perfection. That takes all kinds of people, from designers to project managers.

 

The Chassis Suspension Systems Tuning (SST) group is primarily responsible for developing and delivering chassis systems such as, Air Suspension, eDamping and Active Roll Control. The work covers all aspects of the design from requirements capture, packaging, supplier liaison, targets analysis through to the development and validation of new sensor technologies and processing methods for the active and adaptive systems deployed in SST.

 

As the Electronic Sensors Engineer, you’ll work in a multidisciplinary team and liaise with engineers at all levels in both Chassis and Electrical Engineering. You’ll be responsible for leading a small team of Sensors Engineers to ensure engineering robustness and timely delivery initially in height sensors, Suspension Inertia Measurement Unit (SIMU) and Accelerometers. You'll develop strategies for the next generation sensing technologies and methods to support Chassis Motion Systems.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

As an experienced engineer, with working experience of electronic components, you’ll ideally hold a degree in an engineering subject and have an appreciation of Systems Engineering.

 

You’ll be an excellent communicator, as there will be a high level of liaison with offshore teams, suppliers and other engineering functions in the UK, you’ll have the ability to deliver under pressure and with minimal supervision across several work streams concurrently and you’ll demonstrate high levels of drive and self-motivation.
