WHAT TO EXPECT

Our vehicles are admired and desired across the world for their luxurious design and outstanding engineering. Driving them is an incredible experience; being the ideas and expertise behind their creation is even more exhilarating. Being part of our Engineering and Manufacturing team, you'll join this journey.

This is a key role working within the Mechanical and Electrical section of the newly formed Powertrain Manufacturing Engineering (PTME) based at Whitley. PTME is responsible for the successful delivery of all aspects of Powertrain Manufacturing facilities globally, from completely new facilities such as the Diesel and Petrol engine manufacturing plant at the Engine Manufacturing Centre near Wolverhampton. Jaguar Land Rover has an opportunity for a high-calibre and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our new Electric Powertrain Manufacturing Engineering team.

In this role, you’ll be a key part of the Manufacturing Electric Powertrain team, working closely with a variety of stakeholders to develop and maintain electrical specifications and standards for all powertrain projects. You'll also work with vendors during the design and build phase to ensure all PTME electrical standards and specifications are achieved, and you’ll both develop and manage electrical install projects within Powertrain facilities. The role may involve overseas travel, and you’ll need to have flexibility to travel across UK sites.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

In your role as an Electrical Engineer, you’ll be a self-motivated individual with good communication skills and as good an ability to lead as to work as part of a team. You'll also be capable of achieving results by meeting deliverables and commitments, and you’ll ideally hold an appropriate engineering or technical qualification. It is likely you'll have previous experience of electrical engineering in a manufacturing environment and will be a familiar user of building management systems (Rockwell, Siemens or Schneider).

BENEFITS

Bring all this to the home of premium innovation, and you’ll find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team, a discounted car purchase and lease scheme for you and your family, membership of a competitive pension plan and a performance-related bonus scheme. All this and more makes Jaguar Land Rover the perfect place to continue your journey.

Jaguar Land Rover is committed to equal opportunity for all.
