When it comes to the future, our Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) team is planning it today. Regularly working up to three years ahead of production, they help translate, plan and implement Product Development outputs into vehicle manufacture, transforming our ambitious plans into tangible and exhilarating realities.

You’ll be part of a high performing team that is founded on a safety first leadership approach and collaborative working to deliver the highest possible service for stakeholders. You’ll be involved in developing a capability to deliver construction, engineering and project management services across the full spectrum of Jaguar Land Rover property, construction and technology functions, with the focus to deliver world class facilities.  As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineering and Construction Electrical Engineer you’ll support and develop business cases for the proposals of new builds and alterations to our manufacturing facilities, and deliver these projects in line with the agreed business plan. Your focus will be on developing the project scope of work and technical requirements along with developing an understanding and managing of the interface with existing services infrastructure, and training stakeholders in the use and operation of new or altered facilities. An emphasis will be on environmentally assessed energy sustainable processes, projects and systems.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

You’ll have experience of project management, possess good interpersonal and negotiating skills, and have some adequate experience of working on construction projects. Essentially, you’ll have automotive experience, preferably at engineering level and will have knowledge of Construction Design and Management regulations and Health and Safety legislation, as well as having safety qualifications such as Construction Skills Certification Scheme card or Safety Management training. We’ll look for electrical technical knowledge with some insight of electrical networks and distribution (HV&LV) and at a very minimum a working knowledge of at least one other discipline (Civil, Structural or Mechanical) with an appreciation of the others.  A degree is preferred, or a HNC/HND equivalent or evidence of Electrical Apprenticeship qualifications coupled with relevant on-site work experience.

This role will require you to be flexible in both working hours and on occasions, site location, therefore you’ll need to have a full United Kingdom driving licence.
