An ever-evolving heritage. A truly exciting future. Two of the world’s most iconic brands. Jaguar Land Rover is revered across the globe. Continually pushing the boundaries of innovation and redefining the benchmark for excellence, we set the standards others want to follow. We want to keep it that way too. Which is where you join the journey.

WHAT TO EXPECT

When it comes to the future, our Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) team is planning it today. Regularly working up to three years ahead of production, they help translate, plan and implement Product Development outputs into vehicle manufacture, transforming our ambitious plans into tangible and exhilarating realities. From the luxuriously agile Jaguar F-TYPE to the innovative CX-17, our vehicles – famed for the revolutionary technologies they employ – are amongst some of the most desired and revered in the world today. Your constant challenge, working as part of our diverse and multi-skilled AME team, will be to ensure our iconic brands continue to captivate the world tomorrow.

You’ll support the DMBI Lead Engineer in the programme deliverables, including the planning, execution and administration of product and manufacturing tooling maturation events through the various launch phases; from virtual product build to Job1.

In addition, you’ll drive tasks, associated with the Dimensional Maturation and Build Integrity roles and responsibilities; report the status; and support the buy off of the virtual product and process validation provided by the Dimensional Management and Dimensional Verification Analysis team, for all Jaguar Land Rover model lines.

You’ll participate in the benchmarking of alternative technologies and processes within the automotive industry to establish and implement best practices and drive the build quality performance, monitoring the quality metrics to recognise and address dimensional errors and capability issues.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

You’ll be working in a fast paced environment and will have the ability to multi-task, supporting a team with competing demands. You’ll need to be resilient, self-motivated and production orientated, and a great communicator. You’ll be computer proficient and able to interpret dimensional and statistical data and translate into technical reports.

A clear understanding of part, assembly and system interaction which involves tolerances, variability, and methods of location and measurement would be desirable. You’ll ideally hold a degree or equivalent in a relevant Engineering discipline or a Higher National Certificate or Diploma along with relevant experience in dimensional/tooling maturation. If you have a six sigma green or black belt skill sets, that would be even better.

BENEFITS

Bring all this to the home of premium innovation, and you’ll find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team, a discounted car purchase and lease scheme for you and your family, membership of a competitive pension plan, and performance related bonus scheme. All this and more makes Jaguar Land Rover the perfect place to continue your journey.
