An ever-evolving heritage. A truly exciting future. Two of the world’s most iconic brands. Jaguar Land Rover is revered across the globe. Continually pushing the boundaries of innovation and redefining the benchmark for excellence, we set the standards others want to follow. We want to keep it that way too. Which is where you join the journey.

WHAT TO EXPECT

This is the key technical department for the product creation process, leading the engineering from concept to customer. There are three parts to it: Attribute Quality and Process, Vehicle Integrity Team and Vehicle Engineering Management. Working here, you’ll give our vehicles their unique characteristics. It's all part of creating vehicles that delight customers and set us apart from the competition.

As the Sensing and Compute Hardware Project Leader, you’ll be the person that selects vehicle sensing and computing hardware platforms for future Jaguar Land Rover vehicles.

Following our Technology Creation and Delivery System process, you’ll lead our hardware selection projects - developing test and benchmarking criteria for the evaluation of sensor and compute hardware; leading on-the-bench and in-vehicle sensing and compute hardware evaluation; and documenting and reporting hardware profiling results.  With a continuous improvement mindset, you’ll also keep abreast of changing industry trends, technologies and best practises.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Alongside extensive knowledge of current and future sensing and compute hardware architectures, you’ll have significant experience in profiling and benchmarking hardware. With a degree in electronic engineering, or a closely related area, you’ll have experience in delivering projects and contributing to strategy development, as well as the ability to quickly learn about new technologies or concepts.

Ideally, you’ll have knowledge of electrical analogue, digital and system hardware design fundamentals - including single and multi-processor systems. You’ll also have an understanding of automotive network architectures and systems. Experience with circuit design, analysis, and simulation tools and inter-device communication protocols, such as USB, Ethernet and Bluetooth, would be preferred too.

Results-driven, resilient and enthusiastic, you’ll be able to deliver operational plans in a highly demanding environment. An effective team player with the ability to communicate complex ideas, you’ll have a passion for continuous technical improvement, with the ability to follow accurate, robust working practices and prioritise your own work load.

BENEFITS

Bring all this to the home of premium innovation, and you’ll find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team, a discounted car purchase and lease scheme for you and your family, membership of a competitive pension plan and performance related bonus scheme. All this and more makes Jaguar Land Rover the perfect place to continue your journey.
