LOCATION : Gaydon, Warwickshire

WHAT TO EXPECT

Using state-of-the-art facilities, you’ll provide the power behind our vehicles working in our Powertrain Engineering team. You'll find the ideal balance between performance and sustainability, while responding to the environmental issues that shape our industry.

As Cooling Systems Development Engineer you’ll carry out vehicle based development and sign off cooling system tests in test facilities and in the field, both in the UK and overseas. You’ll investigate technical issues on cooling systems to resolution and report all work carried out in a timely manner as well as providing hands on support to vehicle builds and technical investigation of issues in field. There will be a significant amount of time spent working out of hours.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

You’ll demonstrate a sound understanding of vehicle test and development processes along with the design and development process with good overall knowledge of vehicle systems and how they interact with each other, in particular cooling systems.

In addition, you’ll be self-motivated and adaptable to changing demands, planning and organising in preparation for tests is key to success. You’ll have the ability to interface effectively with cross functional teams and suppliers, demonstrate basic project management skills and strong communications skills. A valid driving licence is essential.
