Job description

Our award-winning graduate and apprentice programmes have been designed to be just as inspiring as the next generation of vehicles you’ll help produce. In fact, we’ve designed our early careers programmes for you to shape the future with us. With opportunities right across our business, you’ll use your creativity to bring new ideas to life, develop specialist, commercial and project skills and push the boundaries of your potential.

WHAT TO EXPECT

As an undergraduate with communications skills and a knowledge of digital and traditional media platforms, you’ll be key in helping us deliver our global strategy to enhance brand reputation, drive conversation and deliver great coverage to the right target audiences; for our growing business and world-class products.

The scope and opportunities are broad, promoting and protecting Jaguar Land Rover internally and externally. You could get involved in a diverse range of areas, including:

Telling brand and business stories that create coverage across multiple media sectors

Planning, researching and writing global press releases, news briefs, briefing packs and media Q&As

Working with areas across the business on the development of stories and assets, including photography, video and experiences

Helping to build our network of brand advocates and influencers

Supporting the delivery of global media events, drive programmes and motor shows.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Excellence runs throughout our business and we expect you to be the same. So as well as currently studying for a degree in PR, Communications, Journalism, Media Studies or English you’ll need to be on track for at least a 2:2 classification. In order to be successful you’ll need positivity, drive, creativity, a keen eye for detail, great ability to develop narratives that deliver compelling stories; and a commitment to achieving results.

Please be aware that our undergraduate placement opportunities are only open to penultimate year students − individuals who will be returning to their final year of study following their placement with us.

Please be aware that for some roles you’ll need a full driving license. This information will be gathered at the assessment centre.

The placement will start on June 24 2019 and be for a duration of 12 months.

REWARDS AND BENEFITS

Whichever path you follow, your hard work and contribution deserves recognition. So as well as ongoing support and learning opportunities, you’ll receive a competitive salary. This will be around £300 per week, or £15,600 p.a.

For those on 12 month placements, a generous holiday allowance will also be yours, as will many other benefits. With on-site facilities like gyms and sports hall, plus regular social events, you’ll have plenty of chances to make friends and have fun too.

Jaguar Land Rover will not support any applications for visa sponsorship for this role and all applicants for this role must have an unrestricted right to work for an indefinite period in the UK.

Jaguar Land Rover are a multisite business, our opportunities could be based at any of our UK sites.

On making your application, please use your personal email address and NOT a University address.
