The Primary Structures team develops new structural concepts for Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles integrating all structural elements (body, chassis, powertrain) into an efficient architecture (delivered through Bill of Process  / Bill of Design) . The team ensures that the architecture developed has sufficient bandwidth and capability to produce all anticipated models and their powertrain options (including electrification) in a time, cost, and resource efficient manner.

As CAE Structural Engineer you’ll develop concepts and designs, to deliver flexible architecture solutions and work with Body, Chassis, Vehicle Safety, Manufacturing, and Design at a technical level to ensure developed solutions are fit to purpose.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

You are an experienced Structural Engineer with excellent CAE skills who has resolved technical issues and has excellent communication skills as this role interfaces with Engineering, Design and Manufacturing. You challenge ways of working and identify improvements in Advanced Product Creation within the automotive industry. Knowledge of Body Engineering systems and component design, function, performance, production and manufacturing requirements would be beneficial.
