LOCATION: Coventry, West Midlands

WHAT TO EXPECT

Using state-of-the-art facilities, you’ll provide the power behind our vehicles working in our Powertrain Engineering team. You'll find the ideal balance between performance and sustainability while responding to the environmental issues that shape our industry.

This role would be as a CAD Design Engineer based in one of the Design and Release teams within Base Engine Engineering. Reporting to a System Principal Engineer, as the CAD Engineer you’ll lead the resolution of complex cross-system design issues and be the Design Lead for the engine system. You’ll also be responsible for implementing design solutions to meet component functional targets.

The role will involve ca. 70% - 80% pure CAD engineering with the remainder of time working closely with interfacing component hardware owners.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

For this role, you’ll need to combine a solid understanding of CATIA modelling within an engineering environment with strong people skills and the ability to work effectively, whether individually or in a cross-functional team. It is just as important that you’ll be a good communicator who is not only able to successfully convey complex ideas but who can also constructively respond to new ideas and inputs owing to a high level of natural resilience and enthusiasm.
