LOCATION:  Gaydon, Warwickshire

WHAT TO EXPECT

Within our state-of-the-art facilities, you’ll provide the power behind our vehicles. In fact, you'll strike the ideal balance between performance and sustainability, while responding to the environmental issues that are shaping our industry. Joining the Battery Mechanical Systems team (within Powertrain Engineering), you’ll report to the Mechanical System Manager or Principal Engineer. Here, it will be your job to ensure the delivery of the battery mechanical system, including mounting the system to the vehicle chassis. At all times, you’ll be working to meet quality, cost, weight, timing and functional targets. You will also work closely with our design engineers to ensure that all CAD designs and drawings are completed to a high level of integrity.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

You’ll have a background in complex mechanical packaging and structural solutions. You will also have experience of applying analysis tools to optimise and verify mechanical and structural properties. What’s more, you’ll have the ability to understand commodity timing plans (including design verification plans, programme, and supplier timing plans).
