Our Marketing, Sales and Service (MS&S) teams are responsible for all customer-facing activities, from developing and maintaining the dealer network to managing importers and export partners. Their responsibilities continue through to global sales planning and supply of vehicles to markets, the sales process to customers, and all global customer service and after-sales activities. 

Global Planning and Supply (GP&S) is responsible for leading Jaguar Land Rover’s Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, driving end-to-end process execution of the order life cycle and promoting related cross-functional process improvement activities with a view to maximising Jaguar Land Rover’s new vehicle sales revenue. The monthly S&OP process orchestrates supply and demand for new vehicles based on transparent product assumptions, regional demand inputs, and Jaguar Land Rover manufacturing and supply reviews, which culminate in a monthly business review where key decisions regarding demand management, inventory levels, production, and market allocations are made with the ultimate goal of securing Jaguar Land Rover’s profit and cash objectives.

In more specific terms, your role will involve managing the monthly S&OP cycle timings and activity within the GSO planning tool environment (e.g. SPRINT), including retail, applicability, and effectively criteria. You’ll need to analyse the data for the monthly S&OP cycle, managing the review process through the dashboard, identifying risks and opportunities, and communicating outputs to the GSO team as well as the management, regions, markets, and other departments such as PR Communication where applicable.

In addition, you’ll provide support to the regions end-to-end process ensuring timely and appropriate inputs, monitoring performance through appropriate KPIs, identifying issues, agreeing and deploying solutions, managing the review process, and communicating outputs to the GSO team, management, regions, and markets while ensuring that they understand the regular inputs required for specific meetings and/or system deadlines. You’ll also contribute by identifying process improvements and training needs, specifically within the GP&S planning tools (e.g. SPRINT). Finally, you’ll manage the standard monthly communication, including demand review and business review packs, to support GSO management meetings.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

To be successful within this role, you'll have a background in sales operations or sales planning. Owing to your effective analytical skills and an ability to move rapidly from problem identification to resolution, you’ll thrive in a challenging environment balancing competing priorities to achieve deadlines.

Ideally possessing a strong quality and customer-first ethos, you’ll come from a background in sales operations and sales planning and equipped with good interpersonal skills thanks to which you’ll deal with different markets, cultures, functions, and levels. You’ll also need excellent IT and business process knowledge and competence in Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel. Finally, you’ll be able to carry out your tasks drawing on your broad knowledge of Marketing, Sales, and Service operations, preferably gained in a role requiring multi-customer liaison.
