We are looking for talented Mainframe Developer that can also act as a Scrum Master to join the Disbursements Agile team in Tampa. Candidates should posse a broad variety of strengths not just isolated skill sets. In this position the candidate will collaborate with cross-functioning, highly skilled software engineering teams and our business partners in a fast moving environment.

Candidates are expected to be able to lead and participate in project planning sessions with members of our business and technology team to analyze requirements, determine solutions, and plan work efforts. For each project, candidates will participate with other team members to define and design project scope, as well as translate business and technical requirements into application modules. They will also contribute to the development of the code base and information models.

Other duties include proactively supporting knowledge sharing within the team and across Technology, manage your daily workload, monitor project milestones and critical dates, identify and mitigate project risks. Additionally, they will promote teamwork in problem resolution and by coaching team members.

This candidate will carry duties as a Mainframe Developer and may act as a Scrum Master, key responsibilities include:
· Analyze, design, develop, test and deliver quality software products in a complex environment.
· Supports the application's BAU and DEV/OPS processes and activities.
· Identify areas for improvement and drive change through to completion.
· Guiding and coaching a team along its Agile maturity promoting delivery of business value.
· Coaching team members and stakeholders on advanced Scrum fundamentals.
· Acting as a servant leader to influence team member to seek and embrace incremental change that increases team performance.
· Identifying and implementing agile metrics to measure a team's Agility and then use those measures to help guide a team forward.
· Identifying, escalating, and removing team impediments that jeopardize sprint goals.
· Acting as a Champion and Custodian of the Agile principles for the team.
· Teaching and coaching application developers to adopt Continuous Delivery practices such as Test-Driven Development, Specification by Example, Story Mapping, and other Lean/Agile Modeling Techniques.
· Acting as an Agile ambassador for the organization; exhibiting a deep-passion for continuous learning and seeking to provide knowledge gained throughout the entire organization.
· Working with organizational leadership and teams to change and adjust organizational design to promote self-organizing teams within an enterprise environment.
· Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-up meetings, reviews/demos, retrospectives, and release planning meetings.
· Promote improved team interactions, practices, and process through valuable inspect and adapt practices.
· Facilitate backlog refinement sessions to ensure robust backlog health.
· Act as a mediator and facilitate discussion and conflict resolution.
· Participate proactively in developing and maintaining team standards, tools, and best practices.

Desired profile

Requires a skill set that supports mainframe development and the ability to serve as a Certified Scrum Master (CSM).

·  “T-Shaped”/Broad skilled software development professional with deep skills in certain areas such as coding, but also skilled in other areas such as project management, testing and/or analysis.
·  Experience with Agile programming techniques such as test driven development, spec by example.
·  COBOL, JCL, DB2 (or equivalent).
·  Mainframe utilities (EZtrieve, Fileaid, Xpediter, NDM, Clist).
·  Strong interpersonal skills demonstrated through verbal and written communications.
·  Servant Leader – Must be able to garner respect from individuals/teams and be willing to support the team/initiative to get the job done.
·  Communicative and Social – Must be able to communicate well with teams, larger practitioner community and Agile thought leaders internally and externally.
·  Facilitative – Must be able to lead and demonstrate value-add principles to a team.
·  Assertive – Must be able to ensure Agile/Scrum concepts and principles are adhered to, and must be able to be a voice of reason and authority to help make the tough calls.
·  Situational Awareness – Must be the first to notice differences and issues as they arise, coach the team to resolve internally and if necessary involve management.
·  Continual Improvement – Must continually be growing ones craft learning new tools and techniques to manage oneself and a team.
·  Conflict Resolution – Must be able to facilitate discussion and facilitate alternatives or different approaches.
·  Attitude of Transparency – Must desire to bring disclosure and transparency to the business about development and grow business trust.
·  Experience with Magic Draw is beneficial.
