JP Morgan 2019 ReEntry Technology Program – DevOps

 

Beginning March 2019, JP Morgan will be running a 14-week ReEntry Technology Program which offers the opportunity for technologists who have been on a career break, to return to work.

 

This program will give you the support and resources needed to resume your career in tech. Upon joining, you will be enrolled into a tailored coding refresher course to help rebuild your skills in software engineering. You will have the opportunity to interact with the firm’s leaders and be part of a community of peers going through a similar transition. ReEntry Technology Program will also provide you with opportunities for networking and mentorship.

 

The Bournemouth campus has an excellent record of delivering outstanding training & development to its employees, recently we have put a number ofsoftware engineers through intensive courses to upskill in to the latest versions of Java, we also have a brilliant network of Business Resource Groups including: WIN — Women’s Interactive Network, providing a forum for women to collaborate and grow as professionals, Working Families — Supporting employees with work and family integration. You will be a creative, innovative team player with analytical, technical, problem solving, planning and organizational skills.

 

As a hub with an ongoing focus on software development, we would be very keen to hear from you if you have previous Open Source or Object Oriented programming experience with an understanding of agile methodologies.

Site Reliability Engineering

Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) is an engineering discipline that combines software and systems engineering to build and run large-scale, massively distributed, fault-tolerant systems. This position is for a Site Reliability Engineer responsible for the development and implementation of processes necessary to improve application/system reliability along with operational support. The position would comprise of approximately equal focus on both software development and Infrastructure operation disciplines. This position will also develop software to automate operational processes along with coding for the shared engineering backlog deliverables. The workload for the position would comprise 50% software development and 50% Infrastructure Operations

 

Qualifications :

·  Experience in building enterprise software and proficiency in multiple languages preferablyObject-oriented programming and scripting or automation languages
