As a member of our Software Engineering Group you will dive head-first into creating innovative solutions that advance businesses and careers. You’ll join an inspiring and curious team of technologists dedicated to improving the design, analytics, development, coding, testing and application programming that goes into creating high quality software and new products. Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) Securities Group is part of the wider CIB technology organization which supports the core back office applications systems for the JP Morgan Investment Bank. This role is to join the Bournemouth Tax Team who develop and support the strategic tax applications for the CIB. The group was formed specifically to help improve the effectiveness by which technology responds to the changing in regulatory environment and automate tax business processes.

Core Responsibilities include:
·  Create innovative solutions that advance businesses and careers.
·  Improve the design, analytics, development, coding, testing and application programming that goes into creating high quality software and new products
·  Keep the team and other key stakeholders up to speed on the progress of what’s being developed
 This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
·  Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
·  Understanding of architecture and design across all systems 
·  Working proficiency in developmental toolsets
·  Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals
·  Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages - Java, SQL, Unix Shell and Oracle environments and strong knowledge of ETL processes (i.e. Informatics, ODI)
·  Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, TDD, maintenance and software improvement (i.e. continuous deployment)
·  Sound understanding of Object Orientated Data Structures and Computer Software principles
