Investment management products and services is a core offering within J.P. Morgan Private Banking. It offers the full spectrum of investment strategies - from equity, cash management, fixed income, currency and asset allocation to alternative asset classes such as private equity, real estate and hedge funds. These strategies are delivered to clients in a variety of structures, including core and thematic discretionary portfolios and regulated fund wrappers.

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen as part of the Solutions Product Development group for an Analyst to support  product development and management initiatives as part of the International Private Bank (IPB) Alpha & Discretionary Product Development team .  The role will be based in London. 

Our Team 
 
The IPB Alpha & Discretionary Product Development team is focused on delivering discretionary solutions for the IPB business (covers EMEA, Latin America and Asia regions), that serve as core diversified portfolios, provide targeted exposure, capture timely market opportunities or address specific client objectives.  The platform consists of core strategies and Alpha Programme strategies, totaling over $50 billion in assets under management, with strong growth anticipated.

The Role
·  Support new product development based on pipeline priorities, ensure results are delivered on-schedule and support product management initiatives
·  Develop and manage relationships with product stakeholders across regions (EMEA, Asia and LatAm) and functions
·  Coordinate across the diverse perspectives of Legal, Risk, Compliance, Operations and Investment teams to develop legal agreements, marketing material and procedural documentation
·  Organise calls, document minutes & project steps, ensuring effective timing and sequencing of deliverables to meet tight deadlines     
·  Track project timelines and progress including reporting on key highlights, next steps and issues
·  Assist with change management initiatives
·  Support the team by assisting in the implementation of effective processes for new product launches and ongoing product management support
·  Provide assistance and information to business partners, operations, control teams and portfolio managers relating to product development and management
Requirements 
·  Ability to multi task across multiple initiatives
·  Proactive, highly motivated self-starter who enjoys working in a highly collaborative and matrixed environment to build consensus
·  Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and planning skills
·  Strong interpersonal skills, excellent stakeholder management skills are essential
·  Have an entrepreneurial mindset and be able to apply critical thinking and a logical/structured framework to a variety of situations
·  Highly competent with core MS Office applications – e.g. Excel and PowerPoint
·  Experience in the asset or wealth management industry would be beneficial – preferably in discretionary services or funds.

 The ideal applicant would have broad investment and non-investment knowledge of discretionary products:
·  Understands managed products such as funds, separately managed accounts and discretionary services
·  Excellent communication skills and has an ability to explain complex concepts to different functions
·  Adapts to change and turns challenges into opportunities
·  Has an enquiring nature and a fast learning curve
·  Thrives in team environments, ensuring effective communication with colleagues
·  Is passionate about financial markets and career driven
·  Additional European languages a benefit – Italian, French or Spanish

All internal moves will normally take place on the same grade and same salary. Salaries are reviewed annually in February. Exceptions to the rule regarding transfer on current salary may include a move between geographic locations.
