The EDG structuring team sits within the Equities Group. The team is responsible for creating derivatives based products which reference equities and other asset classes and these products are used by investors for hedging or getting exposure to financial markets. The team works closely with trading, sales and other business functions to deliver tailored solutions.
The advertised position is in the Structuring team, which looks after investible indices, equity payoff and solutions, trades across wrappers (ETF, SPVs), retail, mutual fund derivatives, insurance (Solvency II, savings and retirement) and financing. This position will have a particular focus on client servicing.
· Coordination and streamlining of marketing documentation and branding across the structuring team. Creation of material for product launches and campaigns.
· Creation of a tool to record standard documents and facilitate regular updates. Maintenance of the tool in cooperation with the structuring teams in EMEA and in Mumbai
· Post-trade support to sales and clients
· Coordination of client calls and roadshows for product launches & marketing efforts in partnership with sales
The role requires the ability to conceptualize, implement and run a client servicing process within the Structuring team in partnership with a number of internal teams and in a controlled and business focused way. The candidate will spend a significant amount of time working on documentation and processes, but will have opportunities for client-facing time alongside sales and structuring people when new products are launched or post trade support is required. The candidate needs to be able to understand the products created within the structuring team and the control, legal and regulatory environment that the team is operating in.
· Good general understanding of derivative products
· 2- to 3-year experience in markets
· Excellent PowerPoint, Excel and Sharepoint knowledge.
· Strong organization skills, control oriented mind
· Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
This role encompasses the performance of UK regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting UK regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and/or the Prudential Regulation Authority to carry out such activities.
